-Can I taste your cakes before ordering? 

 

   Absolutely! We put just as much care and attention into our sample mini-cakes as we do with all our other cakes. All you have to do is choose the cake, buttercream and fondant flavours and we´ll do the rest. There is a non-refundable 30 euro service charge for each sample mini-cake. Personal delivery of these cakes is available in Sitges, St. Pere de Ribes, Olivella, Vilafranca, Moja, St. Miguel de Olérdola, Canyelles, Vilanova, Cunit and Cubelles.

 

 

-Are all the decorations edible?

 

   Technically speaking they are. All our colourings and paints are food-safe. However, by the time the decorations are on your cake they are dried solid which makes them impallable. As well, we often use inner supports such as wires and tiny wooden dowels which renders the decorations inedible. We can adjust the design of your cake so that no supports are used.  All of this will be discussed in depth during our initial cake consultation.

 

 

-Do you ever use real flowers on your cakes?

 

   The advantage of sugar flowers is that we are able to make any flower bloom throughout the year and they don’t wilt. Therefore, we don’t use real flowers.

  

 

-Can I order a cake without having it covered rolled fondant or buttercream?

 

   Fondant and marzipan are the only two icings we use to cover our cakes because they keep your cake fresh for a longer period of time at room temperature, which allows it to be displayed throughout your event. Also, this is why we don’t use highly perishable fillings such as whipped creams, egg yolk based curds or cream cheese.

 

 

-Should I refrigerate my cake once it´s delivered?

 

   Please don’t! Rolled fondant, marzipan and the sugar decorations all absorb moisture during refrigeration and when they´re brought back to room temperature they’ll  ´perspire´ and mark the surface of your cake. After the party is over though any leftovers should be wrapped well, refrigerated and served again at room temperature.

 

 

- Do you make vegan or gluten-free cakes?

 

   Not at this point, although they have our full attention. We are constantly trying out new recipes in order to fulfill dietary restrictions.

 

 

- Do you make cakes with a risque theme?

 

   Definitely, sounds like fun. Don’t be too embarrassed to ask, we’ll do it. Whether we post it on our website is another question.

 

 

- I don´t live in Spain but I´m getting married/having a birthday party there. can we order a cake just through e-mail correspondence?

 

   Of course you can. We´ve done it before and we´ll do it again. Just keep in mind though that if you have very specific requests pertaining to  design  it´s best to send examples by post because color- and fabric swatches don´t reproduce well via the computer. Please read the terms of delivery as well.

 

 

- Is it possible to have different cake flavours in the same tier?

 

   Yes it certainly is. Whether it´s in the same tier or seperate tiers with different flavours we can alternate cake- and buttercream flavours to your hearts desire.
